From station settings to a pallet on the machine
Pallet Designer is one window with six tabs, one tab per stage. Every tab ends with Save and go to, which saves the work and hands it to the next stage
One path from a layer to machine data
-
01
Station settings, once per machine
Gripper size and open side, allowed orientations, overhang, pallet height, obstacles and the PLC array limits. Every design in the other tabs stays within them
-
02
Layer designer
Place the cases on the pallet by hand, or let Auto fill propose up to six layouts with the most cases, together with the interlocking layer B
-
03
Mix designer (option)
Assign product types of the same case size to the cases of a layer: by click, by area or by the required count of each type
-
04
Robot move designer
The algorithm computes the whole robot sequence of the layer: which cases go together, gripper position, approach direction, placing order. Manual mode for special cases, batch for many layers
-
05
Pallet designer
Stack the computed layers, alternate A and B, add slip sheets, check the pallet in 3D against the station's height, weight and layer limits, then export the data for the machine
-
06
Order designer (option)
Put pallets into input and output frames: palletizing and depalletizing on one machine, checked as one order
The shortest path: one click from a drawn layer to a computed robot sequenceAuto fill → Save and go to: Pallet designer → Generate pallet data
One pallet project, data for the whole machine
The program writes the files; the machine program reads them. That program is written once per machine, with the ready Siemens blocks or by your own team
- layer and auto fill
- mix of product types
- robot moves, computed
- pallet in 3D
- production order
Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC Unified: a ready package. Every other controller and robot reads the open data, JSON with documentation and CSV. Other formats on request
What the machine gets for each move
Every computed move is one record in the recipe; the PLC passes it to the robot
- Cases
- which cases the gripper takes together and their positions on the pallet
- Gripper
- the gripper rectangle, the pick option and the placing option: straight, left, right or reverse
- Approach
- one of 8 directions, and how the gripper aligns with the cases
- Orientation
- the orientation of every case as it arrives at the pick point on the conveyor
- Order
- the placing order of the layer, and the reverse order for depalletizing
Run the six tabs on your own pallet
The trial is the full integrator edition for 14 days, with an example package of 7 scenarios
